Lighting Calculations

Lighting calculations are surrounded by many myths.

One of the most persistent myths being that it is difficult to make a lighting calculation. Of course it is something you have to handle with respect, and you have to think "Lighting Design" before you start to calculate, that's all there is to it.

Remember that you make the lighting design inside your head while the lighting calculation documents that the lighting design fulfills the required standards and relevant norms.

Most of all: It is a document that has got to meet the customer's expectations!

One of the main issues is obtaining correct data. Making lighting calculations with wrong or insufficient data is simply a waste of time.

And one other thing: Most lighting calculations are too ambitious, so to take the calculation to the necessary level is the true art.
