About Fagerhult
We feel that the way a company handles education and knowledge, how it handles people, its ongoing growth and development, in short, the handling of knowledge management will tell you a great deal about this company.
We at Fagerhult are using the term Knowledge Sharing.
In 2004 Fagerhult decided to establish The Fagerhult Lighting Academy ("FLA"), an educational function that spans between our four divisions and covers the entire world! That is quite a job! Our first task was to write down our own mission statement:

Building a worldwide knowledge network
There are enormous amounts of knowledge hidden in abilities of the Fagerhult employees around the world.
We intend to catalogue this knowledge and make it available to the entire organization.
We also intend to build relations to international manufacturers, researchers and scientists around the world in order to assure Fagerhult's access to cutting edge knowledge about lighting and lighting technology.
Creating synergy between Fagerhult divisions and countries
We believe that once Fagerhult divisions and subsidiaries have got a common frame of reference, or even a common language, all partners in the process will benefit from their cooperation. By working together we will all benefit from our common knowledge, we will become more competent in the eyes of our customers, and finally they will choose companies from the Fagerhult group as their preferred partner in developing lighting solutions.
Ensuring high competence employees
Quality insurance has been well known in R&D and production for many years.
FLA has got the task of ensuring the competence of the Fagerhult people in the market organization. We are not trying to make all equal, but we want to ensure that the customer finds the knowledge and expertise that he or she needs in order to continue or start cooperation with Fagerhult.
Making hard education easy and entertaining
We have decided to educate ourselves in order to make a difference.
But in FLA we think that education has many faces. We all know a lot about our hobbies, because we find them interesting, funny and entertaining.
In FLA we try to present the things a Fagerhult employee must know in many different ways because we know that we address different colleagues who again address different customers.
More HPV, more differentiation, more profit
We have told you all before that we are "on the same side of the table".
FLA is here to make a difference, because if you are similar to the rest of the competitors, it all comes down to price. And we do not want that!
We have got excellent products, proud traditions and most of all great and enthusiastic colleagues around the world.
