Dr. Jacob Libermann wonders why you at sometime in your life get a pair of glasses. And then for the rest of your life once in a while go to an optometrist and get your prescription renewed - to a new stronger pair of glasses. He compares it to a broken leg where you go to the hospital and get your leg cast. Normally you remove the cast after the healing has occurred. You don't get a new cast on your leg over and over again for the rest of your life.
Dr. Libermann argues that some physiological event occurred up to a year before your eyesight got reduced and you get your first glasses. This event was something you didn't want to experience, something you didn't want to "see" and you literarily closed your eyes for the experience. Then you got glasses and from that day on your eyesight weaken for the rest of your life until you decide to "Take off your glasses and see". You must face the "event" that caused the first weak reduction in your eyesight and accept what happened. Then you can start training your eyes and get your vision back! It is a very interesting and well documented book. Read it whether you wear glasses or not!
