Knowledge is good
Sharing it is better!
Last friday Henrik and I visited the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture. They had arranged a project day about light and lighting for the students. So we listenend to a series of very interesting lectures about light, lighting, energysaving, health and lighting design. Henrik rounded up the day with a lecture called: Lighting with artificial light - inspired by daylight. A part of the lecture was "What if a lightsource was a car" that you can find on this site: Fagerhult e-Learning/Light Source/What if a light source....
It was a very inspiring day, and thank you to Nanet for inviting us!
Nanet Mathiasen (School of Architecture) and Henrik Clausen (FLA)
Very soon you will be able to use our new lighting encylopedia called Luxipedia on our website.
Our hope is that it will expand in size due to your help. So if you search a topic and there´s no article - please contact us and we will do our best to write it or find someone who can and will.
So actually Luxipedia is going to be a knowledge-joint venture, and we hope you will all contribute to make it grow into a base that everyone can benefit from.
Remember - knowledge is power!!
Have a great day.
Last friday Henrik went to Mullsjö folkhögskola (folk high school). This folk high school has different branches like photo, sculptural art, painting, art appreciation etc. and they wanted to know more about different aspects of lighting.
So in the conference hall (Grundtvigsalen) Henrik presented "lighting of art", "how to create atmosphere" and "lightsources". Around 120 students went to hear his presentations and afterward there were room for questions.
Yesterday we had the huge pleasure to have 15 students from Technical University of Denmark visiting us.
They came to learn about Light & Communication, so Henrik started the day with his lecture about this issue and then we worked our way through three workshops, executive summaries, student presentations and Q&A´s.
As allways it is very inspiring for us to meet students, as they posed many interesting and valid questions.
Thanks for that - we had a great day!!
